Equipment
- 1 Bowl or a measuring cup
Ingredients
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika ($0.15)
- 1 Teaspoon Dried dill ($0.13)
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic powder ($0.15)
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon pepper ($0.16)
- ½ Teaspoon Cumin ($0.07 )
- ½ Teaspoon Coriander ($0.06)
- ½ Teaspoon Thyme (dried) ($0.13)
- ½ Teaspoon Pink salt ($0.03)
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients well in a bowl or measuring cup.
- Brush the salmon with a little olive oil so that the spice mixture adheres properly. Then apply a generous layer of the mixture to the flesh side of the salmon. Personally, I like to add two knobs of butter (or margarine) before wrapping the salmon, to make it even juicier and more tender.
- Store dry rub in an airtight container, away from moisture. This recipe is designed for a one-and-a-half-pound salmon (about 680 grams).Depending on the size of your salmon portion, you may need to double the amount of spices.
Notes
For a smoky taste, add smoked paprika instead of regular paprika.
